American Overhead Door Co., Inc. is owned by Debra Coonse-Hall.
American Overhead Door Co., Inc. was originally started by Debra’s father Kaylor Coonse in 1972, shortly after moving to Brenham from Houston.
Kaylor started installing overhead doors in Houston in 1968.
Then moved his family to Brenham from Houston in 1970 and just five short years later they opened Brenham’s first overhead door company, still located six miles north on Highway 36 where they proudly display all the American flags.
They were known as Brenham Overhead Door Co. and later changed the name to American Overhead Door Co., Inc. Kaylor would later enlarge his business by opening another location in Bryan, and then later another location in Kerrville, both of which he sold.
Inside of American Overhead Door Co., Inc. you will find Timeless Herbs & Oils along with Flag Store Etc. Timeless Herbs & Oils along with Flag Store were both started April 1, 2019. Timeless Herbs & Oils has may herbal products and essential oils for your health and healing. Flag Store Etc. has many flags that you can proudly display on one of their 20’ solid poles.
Debra Coonse-Hall purchased American Overhead Door Co., Inc. from her dad and at that time Gate Keeper was part of the companies that she owned. She sold Gate Keeper in October 2021 to Jon-Erik Coonse (her nephew). Kaylor still works at American Overhead Door Co., Inc., located @ 7405 Highway 36 North.
They stand by their American made doors and as always it is their goal to make the customers happy. American Overhead Door Co., Inc. has been providing courteous, reliable, professional and reasonable service to the community for over 40 years.
Serving Central Texas since 1975 from our “One and Only” location on Highway 36 North.
